New Design for Gigulele Bags™

I decided I wanted to change a few things about the Gigulele bags. One was to make it look more graceful-the other was to place the opening on the side as I had done a very early prototype that I have kept for my personal use. So taking inspiration from an antique violin case I have,I came up with this somewhat surfboard looking design keeping the over the shoulder strap on the back. This one is in my eBay store at the time of this writing. Still fully lined, using the batting made from recycled & repurposed plastic water bottles,I think this will be the pattern I use from here on out. I've already got a crazy quilted one in this style in the works. It's bit more challenging to make, but I think the reward is worth it. This one is embellished with vintage buttons.

The Latest Craze in Uke Accessories From Mandolin Babe's Pickin Parlour

Featuring a unique design that's made for easy traveling, the Gigulele Bag™ is just the thing for going to the beach, your uke club meeting, uke class, orchestra rehearsal, and so forth. Lightweight, padded, sturdy velcro closure and a double stitched strap make this a fun, functional, and expressive way to carry your ukie around town. Fully lined, made to last. They are machine washable so dust mites will be kept at bay.
And they are planet saving. For padding,I use a very soft batting material that is made from recycled water bottles-the ones that are currently poisoning our oceans and streams. One Gigulele™ bag gives a purposeful recycling to app 2.5 bottles. Your purchase & use enables me to buy more of this batting which can use up to 28 bottles, and enables the manufacturer of the product to keep recycling the bottles in this manner. A truly environmental, green way to protect your instrument & help save the planet.
I do my best to create for a wide variety of tastes-from traditional Hawaiian fabrics to whimsical, often quilting the front panel for a richly themed gig bag.
Some are embellished with vintage buttons (which keeps them out of the land fills and from adding to our "plastic footprint") Requests are also more than welcome,so if you're wanting a theme or color that you just don't see do contact me! I have lots of fabrics to choose from & the inventory is always changing. They do not angle the way you see in the photos-the top looks lopsided as I actually took the pics of them laying on their side.
